Hey weezer, your supercharger intake duct has been discovered by the rest of the planet and is making a splash. http://www.metroplexmini.org/forum/showthread.php?p=152335&posted=1#post152335

I don't think it is the same...that's what the big deal is about. The automatic intake section seems to be different than the manuals. Mine has the two ports on the tubing after the air filter and now this is apparently different. Very interesting...I never thought people would get so excited about the auto S. I was only able to read a little of those threads this morning before work, but I'll read the rest tonight. (That guy from M7 sure does have an attitude problem though...he won't even let people compare his product in a forum. :flame )

it goes on this Sunday and dyno next week so we will have numbers on it from heavily modded cars.
Funny thing is was they thought they were getting one like I just received about 4 weeks (http://www.cooperspeed.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2737 see post 13), but BMW/MINI sent them the new inlet duct. Who know's why, other than this part is going on the MINI USA Drag car.
M7....what would it look like if you paid $300 for 6whp vs MINI part $100 and got the same or more whp!!

cool. FireBall Tim Racing Team are installing and dyno on a car modded similar to mine so I am excited to see what it does. The twin charge cars are testing as well within a few weeks.
sweet!! Keep us posted
BTW how is the weather over in Houston?

I think it might help quite a bit on a modded car that actually needs better air flow. Doesn't the turbo on a twincharged force air into the supercharger though? If that's the case then the air is being shoved into the supercharger inlet and I wouldn't think this would make much of a difference. The gain of adding this part would be negligible compared to the gain of adding the turbo. I can't wait to see the results of the testing to find out what it actually does. :thumbsup

they didn't install yet, now supposed to be this weekend, but they are getting ready for the big run of the MINI USA drag car on the 8oct, so I doubt we see anything soon.
