Hello, I know it has been some time since everyone has heard from me here on the forums, but I have VERY exciting news. Next weekend we are helping sponcer a really cool event. I know some of you have heard of the REALLY Cool Go-Kart Track in Austin called Iron Rock Raceway. ( www.ironrockraceway.com ) 30 MINI owners per day will get the opertunity to put their MINI to the test on the Go Track. This will be happening next weekend October 14-16, please read bellow to see just what will be happening. The true reason for the event is Go-Kart Racing, ( www.starsofkarting.com )and the MINI deal is sort of on a side bar. But lets be honest our MINI's will be a huge part of the event. If you have any questions please send me a email at minifaron@yahoo.com or email Jeff Swoboda at jeff@starsofkarting.com I understand that this is short notice, but Im writing this shortly after I found out.

(October 5, 2005) – Fans and spectators at the National Finals for the Snap-on Stars of Karting presented by the IRL will get the chance to sample the temporary layout at Iron Rock Raceway in a MINI Cooper, similar to events this season in Reno and Sonoma. The October 14-16 weekend will be known as the MINI Cooper National Finals and will serve to crown champions in all six classes of the Snap-on Stars of Karting presented by the IRL. The MINI Center dealership in San Antonio is co-sponsoring the event with vital trackside support, “We want to keep the momentum up of the two events that have taken place so far this year and want to include our customers and the area MINI club in the fun,” said Richard Gutin of the MINI Center. Dietz Froehlich, the area manager for MINI sees the Stars of Karting involvement as going hand in hand with MINI’s history, “The MINI brand has marketed itself hand-in-hand with the history of the go-kart and I think these programs make sense.” Two separate one-hour sessions will be held at the lunch break and post race of all three days of racing activities, and the area MINI club and MINI dealers are expected to take an active involvement in the weekend. “I think the fans in Texas will be given an added bonus to their Finals weekend with this format, and this will give our East division teams a chance to get in on the fun that those in the West were able to sample in Reno and Sonoma,” said series marketing director Jeff Swoboda.
