Hello, I am sure that most of you know who I am, so I will skip the introduction. We are in a unique position here for a couple of reasons. I am able to get on a forum and talk to a large group of MINI owners at one time, and in return you can get information that you need to hear quick and easy. I can only speak for myself, so when you read this please keep in mind this is my opinion and NOBODY else. We have been open since 3-15-2003, and we have been going through growing pains from the beginning, and it has not stopped yet! I am going to talk a little about Service. When you come in to our Service Department you can see that we are busting at the seams. What we need is more room, more lifts, and more people to help give you better service. If you were to walk back into our Service Department, you would see that we have a technician in every lift. In fact since MINI opened we have added 4 lifts to the shop. We moved detail down to a tent at the bottom of the lot, in order to make room for 3 of those lifts. Unfortunately, that only helped for a little while. We are in the process of starting construction on a new building on a lot behind us. This will house more lifts for more technicians, and will give us more room for parts. Construction is scheduled to start sometime before the end of the year. We all understand that our Service Department is a problem, but it is not a problem that we are not trying to fix. Please be patient with us! We are ALL doing the very best we can with what we have. I guess in closing.....What I am doing, is asking for each and every one of you to hang in there with us. Soon you will be receiving WORLD CLASS SERVICE just like you deserve.

Thanx for the info Faron, means a lot. You guys are doing a great job as far as I am concerned, I think we should have more patience and understanding with Bill and the service department.

Again, it is very kind of you to inform us, please don't be a stranger Faron.

Wahoo! A new building...that is very good news. Will MINI be separate from BMW now? I know they are trying their best, but it is just the attitude I receive sometimes and the sense that they don't seem to know what's going on. That and being told your car still hasn't been checked out a couple of days after you had a scheduled appointment because the tech didn't show up for work...it gets very frustrating. It's good to see some changes are coming though. :thumbsup

Thanks for this information Faron.. This is what I hope we get more of, sharing of information between us and our local dealership. I personally have not felt the growing pains yet by not having to go to the dealer. But I completely understand as I experienced this before in Dallas with the Audi/Porche Store aka Boardwalk dealership.

Hopefully everyone understands that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and that the MINI center is working hard to resolve it. Thanks again for this info :thumbsup
