You do not need to block off any city or county streets in order to put on a Poker Run. In fact speed is not even an issue in this game. Let me see if I can explain this without getting to wordy. Everyone would join at the same time on a Sunday morning. Each MINI would get a large envelope with 3 sets of instructions. Each would have 5 stops on a map, and you would choose the map you felt was the best for you. Each route would take about the same amount of time as long as you followed all local laws. If you follow the map just as it is you will find each of the 5 stops, and at each of the 5 stops you would find a smiling face that will give you a playing card. Remember each route would take about the same amount of time, so speeding is not part of this game. When everyone met up at the end each person would pull out the five playing cards, and the MINI with the best hand would win whatever prize we would have! (By the way the cards would be marked, so the possibility of cheating would be kept at a minimum.)
As for the prize we could do this a couple of ways, and I will pursue that if I know that I have enough people to make this fun. This club is who I bring this up to first, so everyone interested please let me know. You can do so by sending me an email with name, and if you plan to run multiple MINI's. minifaron@yahoo.com
