So, I am at the bank making a (small) deposit, and all of a sudden my temperature gauge goes from normal temperature to overheated in less than 2 seconds. I take a look under the hood and there's no smoke. I decide to drive home and when I turn off the car the fan keeps running. Hmmm. I called the MINI Center and had Azuul towed to MINI to check the coolant. I did notice a leak, so hopefully not too much damage.

Azuul has been there the entire day, and I know they have not yet looked at it. I spoke with Bill a few times, and got myself a loaner. He promised a MINI loaner, but of course, the person who had it before me did not return it in time. So, I ended up with a BMW X5. A nice car, but its way too big (last time I had a Dodge Durango). Mu guess, I'll have the X5 for at least a week.

At least you got something Steve. :thumbsup I've been hearing they have been stingy about giving out loaners and rentals lately. Hopefully they'll figure something out soon.

Anyway, he said I had a pinhole in one of the hoses. Of course, no parts in stock so they will order Tuesday and I should have Azuul back on Wednesday. At least that is what he says now. But this one shouldn't be too hard to diagnose and fix.

Amazing. It would be even more amazing if they get it back to you on Wednesday. Sounds pretty easy to fix though.
