Let's get to know each other a little bit. Feel free to introduce yourself, your MINI, say hello, or whatever you want. :thumbsup
I'm Greg. I drive an '05 Cooper S auto that is Chilli Red and white. It has had a few growing pains, but has been running smoothly for a while now. :D

Hey guys! I'm Chris, and I have an '06 MC that's Space Blue with Silver (named Oliver). I love the new color schemes by the way! Honk if you see me! I know I'm probably growing a reputation as being the nut that honks any time there's another MINI around my part of town. Soon I'll hopefully get the trailer hitch receiver at which point I'm really tempted to see what the 'truck nuts' would look like. It's a little too gross for me, but it'd be hilarious!

I'm Steve, or more commonly known as Azuul. I drive an '03 MCS, Electric Blue/White. Mods: 15% pulley, K&N CAI, MINI FINI sport link (and wiring harness), Hella F200 Ralleye lights, euro parcel shelf, auto-up circuit, ICElink, proclipusa phone holder and iPod holder.
Also, I am in a guitar-playing duo called the Tim & Bob Show, 50s - 80s classic rock such as the Beatles, Eagles, America, Simon & Garfunkel, Everly Bros, etc. We are now playing once a month at the Radius Cafe (across the street from Municipal Auditorium). Next play date - Friday March 10, 8pm - 10pm. Come out and hear us some time.

I'm Hershel, my MINI is an alcoholic, I mean I have an 06 MINI that is Space Blue with a silver top, SportLink, TowLink, wiring harness (with brake controller), ProClip phoneholder. I have promised my wife (and myself) that no major mods come till the car is paid off (this is painful). I am harebrain because of the harebrain ideas I come up with, like pulling a custom built trailer with my MINI.
Following in the advertising footsteps of Azuul I sell the ProClip phoneholders that I and Azuul have in our MINIs as well as other cell phone stuff.
Hello, I'm Will. My MINI is Dr. Evil... all black int and out. Although Dr Evil is pretty much stock he still ROCKS!!

Hi,
I'm Sean. I am a brand new San Antonio resident (courtesy of the USAF). I have an DS/W '02 MCS
Performance: BMP CAI with custom cowl mod, 15% Pulley, Milltek Catback, Alta 22mm rear sway bar
Dress Up: Painted callipers, tint, clear bra, viper stripes (coming soon)
Sound: Custom Air-vent-mounted iPod, Sony H/U, Alpine components, Custom rear boot false floor sub enclosure/amp housing.
Let me just say for those of you that think your MCS needs more power, try driving your car at 8,000 plus feet above sea level (I'm a Colorado transplant). My car feels like a beast down here. Love it.
Look forward to seeing you all around. I am a big waver. You may see me around 1604, 151, 410, 90. I am living at Bandera and 1604.

I'm Robert and I drive an '05 DS/B S with a "GIS" sticker on the back. I live close to the Mini Center and work down at Brooks City Base. Only spotted one other Mini on base, a Red/White S. I've been to a couple of runs and look forward to more. I'm also hoping to make it out to a Starbucks meet sometime. I'll talk to y'all later.

Hello I am Faron & I am the Internet Manager at the MINI Center. I have a 2005 MINI Cooper S that is JCW equipped. It is BLACK on BLACK with BLACK & RED Interior. I had a Indie Blue 03, but my 2005 MINI Cooper S is by far the coolest car that I have ever owned. My MINI's name is MESHKY! (I will be happy to explain in person.) I understand that my MINI is not the fastest car on the street. But it is the only car on the street that will make me smile. (Well, in my price range!)

Hey - I'm Mike Thompson, moved from Arizona in December. I have a 2002 MCS, DS/B with a "US Army" Cooper Flag on my sunroof. I ordered my MCS in December 2001 and it was delivered in June 2002 when I was in Heidelberg, Germany. Options were pretty limited in those days. Broke it in on the autobahns :) .
I'm out of warranty and am thinking about taking it to Terry Sayther in Austin for servicing/mods. Any thoughts? Mike

Welcome,
Well as far as mods go, sky is the limit...all depends on what you'd like to get out of your modding.
Hey there Mike. Welcome aboard. Hope to see ya at one of our gatherings soon. We had a great time Sunday.
We have a pretty diverse group of folks here. Some have done some pretty amazing mods to their MINI's. I'm still stock and loving it although I'd like to one day do a chip and pulley combo.
Greetings from Hawaii,
My name is Erik Lundmark and the wife and I will be joining the San Antonio community in a few months courtesy of the Army. I just ordered a new CR/B MCS to arrive the same time I do!!
Faron pointed me over to this site and is handling the arrival of my yet-to-be-named Mini. My past life included a moderately tuned Honda CRX and a Kona Lava Dome Mountain Bike. :)
We will be in the area 29 April through 1 May in search of a new home. Probably in the 1604 and 281 area as I will be working at Brooke Army Medical Center. Any suggestions?? We plan to pop in and "torture" Faron with questions.
I look forward to some shared motoring adventures,
Erik

Hello Erik. I work in the area of Brooke Army Medical Center...well I work near I35 and LP410. I think the Stone Oak area is nice, but really expensive to me. I am young and don't make too much (still living with the parents). There are also some places in Selma up I35 near 1604. You couldn't get a longer tour in Hawaii? :D

Hope to see ya soon

Erik, welcome. My son works at Fort Sam and lives in Cibolo, just off I-35 outside of 1604. Cibolo and Schertz have lots of new, affordable housing, plus there's less traffic than 281/1604 - check it out while you're here. BTW, he was born at Tripler! Mike
Welcome Erik, we have lots of folks here who are in the Arm Forces as you will notice. Hope to see you soon.
I appreciate everyone’s hospitality. I feel like a part of the community already and I won’t be there for 3 months.
ScuderiaMini, I lived in Italy for 2 years and I love your name, quite creative.
Weezer2282, as outlandish as it may sound, my wife and I are quite ready to leave Hawaii. Four years is plenty to time to live apart from civilization. ;)
We will definitely have to check out the Cibiolo and Schertz areas. Thanks for the tip Mike! However, I must remember the ancient Chinese proverb which says: “Let wife pick house, husband be much happier!”

I love the kona you had...i'm a big kona fan. I've got a cinder cone myself. If you get the urge to mtn bike when you get here look me up, I go riding with folks from all over. I'm not sure how it'd compare to mtn biking in hawaii, but we always have a good time. :p
I'd actually recommend inside the 1604 loop around bitters and 281...really nice places, and reasonably priced. I live around huebner/nw military which is a great area too. That's just my 2 cents though. Anyway, welcome again! :thumbsup

An old thread-might be worth waking up to see who it shakes awake...
I'm Dan. I don't have a MINI yet. Looking for a car, looking to buy in a month or two. So I've been gathering info and deciding what I want to do. Dropped in to MINI Center to look at the '07s (it's a bit of a time commitment so I had never been down there-and they're the closest dealer). I kinda like the R53 interior/exterior better, but like the new motor more.
I've had some motorcycles, but haven't had a fun car for a LONG time. Brother has an MC40 and I've loved driving it whenever I get the chance. Hadn't been able to think about a new car for quite a while, but hopefully can change that soon.

Doug here--2003 BRG w/white roof. three mods so far are the drop in K&N filter, silverstar bulbs and a Warrior Lacrosse sticker on the back window. When I not driving the Mini, I'm in court (nope, I'm not a criminal--I'm a lawyer) or at my second job as a lacrosse coach for an area middle school or driving my truck.

:dancing Helloooo! I'm Celia and recently bought an '03 MINI Cooper in Silk Green with a black roof. A couple of weeks ago I had black stripes (with white rule) put on the bonnet. This little car has been a gem! I lurve it! It's so much fun to drive, as all of you already know...of course! I haven't seen another silk green MINI (with black stripes) anywhere else in San Antonio. (yet) So if you see me around town, honk and wave! I always wave at other MINI owners I see just because I know they are loving the drive too.
Hope we can all get together and motor somewhere soon, maybe up River Road and have a "tailgating picnic" of sorts! River Road is great for motoring plus we get to enjoy being around our MINI's at the end of the journey with a little food and drink near the Guadalupe River. I've got horseshoes, badminton, frisbee, and anything else anyone wants to take. Kids and pets are welcome, I only have dogs. Any takers? Or better ideas?
Hey Celia! Welcome!
I've never seen a Silk Green. Pictures look neat. I'll have to try to get down that way if ya'll get together.
