I was in an accident last Friday. I was on my motorbike and a Explorer hit me, side swiped me and launched me through the air onto the road over a curbs, rocks and shrubs. I am sore as can be expected after something like that but I was wearing all my protective gear which truely saved my life. The good news is the MINI was not invovled :) So I have that to smile about too, the bad news is my knee and back are still pretty messed up so it makes getting around a pain.

Greg and Keith, sorry I couldnt come help you guys out last weekend. We got disconnected and I couldnt call you back.

Glad you are okay. Take it easy on your knee, and make sure you see a doc.

No problem. I hope you get better soon. My phone was in and out of service way out there at Keith's place. I'm taking it to Prestige Monday morning to let them have a crack at it. :)

Sorry to hear about your accident Will. Knee problems are bad (I know), but probably only eclipsed by Back issues.

Get well soon.

Thanks for all the kind words. I'm slowly but surely getting better, I was able to drive the MINI today, although its hard because my left knee/leg is still in pain. My lower back still feels like there is a bubble under the skin, I am having an MRI done tomorrow.

Will,

You are truly a smart man. Wearing your gear surely save your life.

I am a Critical Care RN in the ICU at Wilford Hall. Do you know what Nurses and Doctors call motorcycles??? DONORcycles...because most people that wreck them end up as Organ Donors.

Glad to here you are OK. I can not even imagine riding a bike in SAT...the drivers here are NUTS.

I'll pray your MRI is clear.

So far so good, I still cant run or walk without a limp yet.

They ended up not doing MRI's the doctor felt I still had swelling and bruising that he wanted to give more time to heal. We did do an xray on the knee and it appears nothing is broken. Tomorrow I have another appt and we are doing MRIs on my knee. I suspect a tendon is damaged some how. I've had ligament injuries before on other body parts, not this knee and I healed pretty quick.

I'll let you guys know how it goes. I am so ready for a MINI Fun Run but I kinda have a hard time shifting, clutch leg is hurt. As soon as I get to full health I will be ready for one!!
