UUC or Invidia for exhausts. JCW suspension or H&R springs and Koni yellows. :thumbsup

Will finally got the mod bug! :D

i thought uuc got discontinued along time ago???

also, I was leaning towards some yellow koni. are they coilovers with springs, or are you just saying replace them with H&R lowering springs?

if you go with tien there are ebay vendors that I would reccommend looking into. for the koni my guess is there might be an online store somewhere on the web that sells them cheaper... but its likely they are all on the expensive side.

The first question to answer is what you want from a suspension change and temper that with the realities of daily driving.

Here's what I can tell you from first hand experience; The Tire Rack stands behind all of its products with excellent warranty service, talk to Alex for MINI specific info http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/Susptabl.jsp?autoMake=Mini&autoModel=Cooper+S&autoYear=2003&autoModClar=&brand=all, for the best in all out performance Leda coilovers is it and there are many custom options http://www.redlinerennsport.homestead.com/LEDA.html, it's too bad Alta no longer sells springs because I really enjoyed their product and they provide good support, Tein H-techs are close to Alta sport springs in drop but a little excessive in the resilience department (no bump stop contact for sure), stay away from H-Sport springs if you think that only one inch drop will last, Koni FSD struts are an outstanding one strut almost does it all, JCW springs are well suited for the MINI but plush is not applicable, this place http://www.shox.com/index.php4 has great prices and fast service, Ferodo DS 2500 are fantastic performance brake pads, when you don't have the time to stand in line at the BMW parts counter Classic MINI of Mentor Ohio is the best OEM alternative.

I've purchased from many other vendors and bought other suspension components but those mentioned stand out. The stinko products and vendors I'll leave for private discussion.

I basically want something that will give me a more aggressive stance (not slammed) will keep or improve my current handling abilities (I love the way my MINI handles) and something that wont make my Grandma's dentures come out when I take her to Church on sunday.

Keith?? Suggestions on something that may fit that? I almost want to just get the JCW stuff but is there something better or close to it thats aftermarket??

if your gonna pay that much for suspension I wouldnt suggest jcw. But thats my personal opinion. I would want coilovers. tein has a street performance coilover system for the mini that I have personally felt. and you can definatly feel the difference, but I wouldnt say it made the ride rough either

I would say go with the JCW suspension. You can ride in my car sometime if you'd like. It cost me $750 for the springs+struts, which isn't bad. It's a lot like the stock suspension with less body roll though. I actually thought the ride felt better too. If you are looking for lowering though it is not the right choice. It will lower a little, but nothing like some of the aftermarket springs and coilovers. :thumbsup

Are we ever gonna have a get together again? It's been a long time.
