Well, I've been trying to fight the mod bug, but it finally got me. At least the holidays aren't far away, so now I can justify the mod as a gift to the MINI. :p
Anybody have an aftermarket exhaust on a (non-s) MC? I like the sound clips from the remus and r-speed but it's hard to tell with those. Generally I like a deep grumbly sounding exhaust (definitly not something loud and raspy). If anybody has one, I'd love to hear it.

Wow, I can't really be the first person here to want to put an exhaust on a MC! It's not 'that' crazy of an idea is it?
What about intakes? Anybody try to fit a K&N Typhoon or another kind of intake on a MC?

Send Justintime a PM; he has a Magnaflow and K&N. I haven’t ridden in his MC but late at night when I’m at the corner gas station I can here him coming and know where he’s going without having to look.

really? that makes me all warm inside
but on a serious note.. exhaust and cai are really a noise mod  the only extra power ive noted is on the track or at wot on onramps.. and its not thaaaat big of a difference. I love the sound of my magnaflow though :thumbsup I think it would be interesting to do a hybrid. mabye borla muffler with magnaflow resonator?

Thanks justintime, I'll check those videos out. That's the trouble I'm having with these mods, since they really are just 'noise' mods. Sure they claim to have hp gains, but I really doubt it's going to make much difference...plus, that's not what I'm out for. If I wanted a faster MINI I'd get an S. But I love the sound of the classic British race cars (that's what I'm after). The JCW Sound Kit would be my top choice, but considering it costs an arm and a leg (and again, just found a sound?) that's pretty much out of the question. Thanks again, and I'll be in touch.

hmm, if you want the old british car sound mabye remove your resonator and replace it with a straight pipe. I think thats still street legal (correct me if im wrong)
