Poor spelling and poor attempt at humor, it should have been Sawzall (reciprocating saw), major overkill for cutting out your rust spots. There are many body shops along IH 10 within a few miles of your house. My recommendation is to seek guidance from a professional; it can’t hurt to ask.

Oops, I forgot, I have a pickup restoration book with some great tips that you are welcome to borrow. Without looking at your problem I would guess a metal nibbler to cut out the bad spots and a metal patch welded in place for a solid fix.

Ill give those shops a visit. I'm not sure if they would quote me the cheapest way to do it though

thats the hole.. not all of it is rust btw, alot of that brown is this mysterious fuzz stuck to these weird sheets of tar. the renments of what use to be the firewall/sound proofing I guess.
You wouldn't know how to get that out eh?
thanks :)

I'd die grind it off with a rotating file and weld a plate over it as a cover. Or die grind the rust away and apply some sort of rust inhibitor or paint it. :thumbsup

The big hole looks like it’s missing a blind plug like the other two on that side. Is that a crack with holes to the upper right? If so, they look like candidates for the nibbler and patch weld.
Try denatured alcohol with a plastic putty knife on the fuzzy stuff first. A stronger solvent like acetone may be too severe for the body coating but you could test a small area first. The paint department at Wal-Mart is where you can find solvents.

walmart wont sell me anything :/ dang kids and sniffing paint stuff... jeeze
anywho, there is only alittle bit or rust on the right. that I have already sanded down, sprayed rustoleum, and sprayed a sealant stuff semilar to what is used in pickup beds.
I sprayed rustolum evenly all over I just need to get rid of that hole.
at walmart they had this fiberglas sheet and fiberglass bondo.. do you think that would hold? im guessing that section of the car torques so it would need to be strong?

The best fix is involves cutting away any of the rusted area, rust always returns, and weld a patch over the opening. Another option is an adhesive like JB Weld, still cut out the bad part, and bond the patch. If it’s not a load bearing spot and all you want is a moisture barrier, stick a blind plug in there and use Permatex gasket maker “the Right Stuff” to seal and bond the edges.

the main problem I noticed with cutting that area is the exhaust hanger located about an inch to the left of the main hole. But it can always be welded back on too
