Guys and Gals,

We are getting together to do a Sunday morning Hill country ride followed by some brunch. We are meeting at the Exxon next to the whataburger on the corner of 1604 and Bandera (16) at around 9:15 heading out around 9:30. We're heading towards Helotes then we're going to hit some nice country roads. What a great way to start a Sunday!! If you are interested in attending chime in so that we can expect you and wont motor on with out ya :D

I don't think I will be able to make this one. My little brother wants to go to a concert downtown Saturday night, so I will be sleeping in Sunday morning. Have a good time motoring! :D

Today we had a very little participation, as a matter of fact it was Will and I. We had a lot of fun, took highway 16 and cut 37, pushed our cars a little bit on curves and long high speed twisties. It was really fun, made my weekend, and I am looking forward for the next one.

Thanks Will, you are a very good pilot.

WOW!! I am very impressed with this little car. Today just reinforced what I already knew... This little bad boy can shred some asphalt.

Hopefully next time some of the others can come along. I know at first we were going to have atleast 5-6 of us but last min things came up and it ended up being Berk and I. Don't worry you can go at your own pace, faster guys up front slower folks in the rear but the end result is still the same... A BIG SMILE on your face :D

Right off the bat I noticed that I will have to rearrange my mod list a bit. Brake fade was definately evident after just one run through the twisties. So a Stoptech brake kit of JCW brake kit has moved up on the list.

All n All it was lots of fun!! Right as we were leaving an Elise showed up to go for a run, he gave us a wave and we did the same.. Nice to see other enthusiasts running around out there.

Maybe in a few weeks we can do this again, this way it gives folks more time to plan for it. Next time we can stop by El Chapparel for brunch!! That place is awesome! :)

will, I have been thinking about what you said about the need of extra power, and now looking at the Mini, the wheels are all black...... I think the BBK moved up couple of places on the list, CAI, Exhaust, BBK or Coilovers.... We will see....

I'd like to make it out next time. With my white wheels even after just a drive to work they are covered in brake dust. The EBC green stuff pads are supposed to be better than the stock BMW pads and I might have them put those on when the stock pads need replacing. From what I've read about the JCW kit is that it doesn't make a dramatic difference, but I've never ridden in a MINI with one installed so I don't know how true that is. Brembos would be nice but are very pricey.

Was it a yellow Elise?
