I posted my story on NAM, but also know that people like K-Egg read this one, too. I'm putting an "S" roof spoiler in place of the original minimal. There is no hardware on the new one to attach it, and the parts man said none was recommended, or he would have told me this. So, what- is it glued on? Do I use hardware off of the original spoiler? I still don't have a shop manual. Please advise me anyway, if you would be so kind! -Jeffy.

there are two screws AND double sided sticky tape. you can use the same hardware. The double sided sticky tape is a PITA to get the spoiler off

I would have pulled the screws and wondered, What The... -Jeffy.

Remove the plastic dummy plugs on each side, remove the 10mm nuts with a deep socket, park with the boot door facing the sun for an hour on a very hot day, use fine nylon filament (fishing line), and saw the adhesive backing from the door. Try to lay the line against the door skin, not the spoiler; if much sticky tape remains, it will take more sawing with the filament, and perhaps, very carful scraping with a plastic putty knife and GooGone to remove.
I’ve not seen a new S spoiler, but I would be surprised if it did not come with peel & stick pads at the fastening locations; the part number for the S spoiler tape if it did not come with them 51717077794, torque value for the nuts ~7 ft-lb.

Thanks for all the assistance. The new one doesn't even have bolts or studs. The spoiler I have is an "S" type of my '02 vintage. Still nicer than my original, plus it's already white, no painting req. -Jeffy.

I used dental floss to remove the boot lettering and it cut cleanly.
