that looks like Hubie's kit, but not his car or El D's. Who's car is this?
still sweet though. I might do it next year. but I want to have fun off what I have for now.
Hubie had a deal going on last month, as he was looking for cars to put his kit on, you pay for the kit and he does labour and tuning for free.

Not sure who's car it is. I found the pic from a website with a bunch of pics from a European car gathering somewhere. I had been reading and hearing about the twincharged cars but that was the first picture I've seen of one. Webb Motorsports and M7 are supposed to be working on turbo and twincharged kits or so the rumours go. SPI Power Excel makes a twincharge kit for $5800 I think and Mini Mania resells one. If you put one on though I think MINI Center would probably throw your warranty out the window. I don't know how long that engine would hold up with that much boost.
Who's Hubie and is it a twincharge kit?

Sorry, I get carried away dropping names.
Hubie Fuh is SPI. His car has the "record" for street legal whp and 1/4 mile time (434 whp and 12.xx 1/4-there is a video somewhere of it).
Helix sells one as well. Right now SPI is the only twin screw out there showing any numbers and driving around. The issue with the turbos that i See right now is that these guys are going for max everything and are hitting problems. The problems are exposed on the internet as turbo issues, when in fact they don't tell you that the car was also running with a custom made widget that was the real issue.
El D has been driving his SPI turbo for a year, but not without problems. The problems are not with teh SPI basic kit, it is the R&D that Hubie and El D are doing on the next upgrade to the basic kit.
I don't know much about the Helix kit, look similiar to SPI, but is not an SPI kit. Mini Madness is also working on a turbo, since Geoge is driving the prototype. The pics I have seen look like SPI. Haven't heard rumour of M7 doing a turbo, but wouldn't doubt it since they have just now put out ported head and blowers. I can find out about Webb, but I doubt it since he site seems geared towards current issues on the MCS.
The Houston dealers know about my car and after a few spirited conversations, we both understand what is warranty and isn't. Both dealerships have been cool.
I hope to catch a ride in both SPI twinscrews in Oct when I go to Phoenix to watch the first sub 10 MINI.
