05 Armrest

My current project that I started last Sunday is replacing the 05 center armrest. I never wanted it in my car, but my MA ordered it with it anyways. I removed a bunch of pieces and the plastic molded console on Sunday, but didn't have a T-30 torx to remove the screws holding the frame of the armrest to the car frame. I got the right tool from work today and removed it in about 5 minutes. That armrest is connected to a big chunk of metal and now my car has to be about 20lbs lighter at least. The armrest was always in the way of throwing things into the backseat and using the rear cupholder and just annoying. I never used it for anything except occasionaly throwing gas receipts in it. At last it is gone! :D Now I have to order a normal console to replace it, which I will do this week. Hopefully I'll have that put in before the Hill Country Rendezvous. :thumbsup

If anybody wants it they can have it very cheap after I get the new console installed and all squared away. It took me a while to figure out how to get it apart and it isn't in mint condition anymore. :eek2 Not too bad though.
