Starbucks Meet

Ok fellow motorheads, I’d like to get together with as many as you possible next week, Wed or Thurs 8-31 or 9-01 at the Starbucks on I-10 off the Bourne stage rd exit. Especially those of you who will be attending the Hill Country Rendezvous

This way we can coordinate a bit before that weekend’s big event!!



I'd also like to talk about a few more items regarding our path forward. These are just of the few items I'd like to get everyone’s input on.


Setting up a regular monthly meeting time. The location, time, date can be determined, this can even be rotated to accommodate everyone
Types of events everyone would like to do i.e. Shiner type run, weekend picnics, etc. This weekend in talking to the Houston folks, Austin folks and other local folks (that’s a lot of folks) I got some good ideas. Steve has some good ones too.
MINI swag, how many would be interested in LSMC shirts, stickers, hats, boxers.....ok maybe not boxers... only for the diehards...
gauge interest in an all MINI or LSMC track day or auto-X event
Local events at members houses, I'd love to have everyone over for a detailing day once the weather gets cooler followed by some BBQ and swimming pool time in the backyard. Maybe someone has the resources aka handy with tools... to help other members do installs of intakes, brakes, etc etc.. Happy hour days, dinners, movies, fun runs
These are just some of the few items I'd like to go over.. Hopefully everyone that can will make it next week to Starbucks.

I should be able to make it as long as its not too late in the evening. I probably won't be able to stay as late as last time when we met on Friday cause of work. It sounds like you have a lot to go over though. :dancing After the Shiner run I'm really looking forward to all the MINIs in the Hill Country...I thought 18 or so was a lot! :rolleyes:

Hmmm, 9/1 -9/2 I will be in Hawaii, so I won't be able to make it. However, I do want to attend a monthly meeting and/or do some other events. I would love a detailing day or a mod day or a combination of both. Maybe in October or November.

How about we do Wed 8/31 about 8-9 just really quick, this way the early people can be there at 8 or slightly before and the later people can be there around 8:30ish and I can stay till after 9.

Just want to gather everyones idea's and thoughts. Then we can do a full monthly meeting mid to late next month.
